Jane Thorniley-Walker is a mosaic artist living and working in Osmotherley on the edge of the North York Moors. She has exhibited her work at a variety of venues – most recently at the Saltbox Gallery in Helmsley.

Jane also regularly undertakes private commissions and has led mosaic workshops for local schools.

Her inspirations come largely from nature, specifically the surrounding landscape of the moors. Wider cultural influences include historic ornamental design from the Middle East and Europe.

The materials used comprise vitreous glass tiles and smalti, often combined with recycled pieces. The sizes of work range from 24x26cm to 94x61cm
